WHY IS THIS WATCH IMPORTANT

Behold! The example you see here is the first automatic alarm watch ever made, don't be mistaken, Jaeger LeCoultre made many variants of the Memovox over the years but this particular example, the caliber 815, is the first interpretation of the icon. Not just that, most of these are made on 35 or 36mm cases, this so-called ¨Jumbo¨ features a whopping 37mm stainless steel case.

Another thing not less important to consider is the configuration, this is a No-Date watch, 95% of all Memovoxes have a date window at three o'clock.

In 1956 Jaeger-LeCoultre launched the K815 caliber, the world's first automatic alarm wristwatch, the reference 855 with a caliber K815 were made in very short quantities.

The original Gay Frères Bracelet is included, is very hard to find one with the bracelet nowadays.

Next to the Reverso, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox is one of their most iconic vintage watches from the brand.
