The mid-20th century is often regarded as the pinnacle of classic dress watch design, an era when hand-wound movements reached impressive standards of precision, durability, and slimness.
This Jaeger-LeCoultre is a remarkable example from that golden age. Its refined stainless steel case, notably larger at 35mm than most of its contemporaries that are usually in the 31 to 33mm range, frames a stunning and rare salmon dial, a highly sought-after feature among collectors. Elegant tear-drop lugs and a delicately contoured explorer-style numbers, a dial with a railroad minute track complete the composition, adding both character and balance. Powered by an in-house movement, this watch is a testament to Jaeger-LeCoultre’s mastery in marrying beauty and function in a truly timeless form.
CONDITION
The case is in great shape and possibly unpolished. The engravings are perfectly visible on the case back, and the serial and reference numbers in the back are super sharp and thick.
It has been fully serviced and keeps a fantastic time.
