Universal Genève’s Polerouter has enjoyed a well-deserved resurgence among collectors. Designed by a young Gérald Genta, its restrained case and dial conceal one of the brand’s great technical signatures: the beautifully finished micro-rotor movement. Elegant, innovative, and unmistakably Universal Genève, the Polerouter remains one of the most compelling vintage watches of its era.

This example remains in wonderfully honest condition, with sharp case lines and a bright silver sunburst tritium dial. The steel dauphine hands and markers retain their original lume, while all components remain correct and original, including the plexiglass and coveted oversized crown. Recently serviced and ready to wear, it’s a remarkably well-preserved piece of Universal Genève history.

CONDITION

The twisted-lug case retains its original shape and lines, showing only light, honest signs of wear. The original signed crown remains in place, while the factory reference and serial numbers on the caseback are still clearly visible. Three fine service marks can be seen at the center of the dial, though only upon close inspection.

The watch has just been fully serviced and keeps a fantastic time almost like new. The amplitude of 257° Rate +12s/d and Beat Error 0.0ms.
