*RARE* 1940s Vacheron Constantin Cornes de Vache | Jumbo 37.5mm | 18Kr Pink Gold | Hard Enamel Dial

Among Switzerland’s great maisons, Vacheron Constantin has long been the connoisseur’s choice, quietly brilliant, technically masterful, and stylistically distinct. Few watches capture that character better than the Cornes de Vache of the late 1940s.

This example, crafted in 18k pink gold by the renowned casemaker Eggly & Cie, established in Geneva in 1934,  is preserved in outstanding near-mint condition. Remarkably, it remains unpolished and comes in a jumbo 37.5mm case size, a rarity in itself. Fewer than a handful are known to exist in this exact configuration.

Its nickname, “cow horns,” comes from the sculpted teardrop lugs that give the case such presence, soft curves that have since become a Vacheron signature. While most surviving examples feature intricate honeycomb dials, this watch stands apart with a cleaner, minimalist design that feels both elegant and timeless.

Elegant, rare, and unmistakably Vacheron, this piece is not only a triumph of mid-century design but also a testament to the maison’s enduring craftsmanship and eye for proportion.
