1940s Two-Tone Movado Calendograf | Ref.14786 | Spanish Dates | Steel and Rose Gold

 WHY IS THIS WATCH IMPORTANT

Not all watches are made the same, and this beauty is certainly unique. With this particular example, the first thing you’ll notice is the solid rose gold bezel and crown, beautifully complemented by the raised applied rose gold color numbers and sharp hands.

The dial has two tones, a light white inner circle and a darker textured other one. The blue numerals for the date are deep and strong.

This piece feels larger on the wrist due to its whin bezel and large dial.

The vintage Movado market has surged in recent years, elevating the brand status among collectors. The brand was founded in 1881, and ever since, it's been known as one of Switzerland's most diverse and recognizable watch brands. Water-resistant chronographs are some of the most searched pieces in the Movado world.

CONDITION

This watch is in great overall condition, the case is very sharp and was probably polished at some point in the past.  The dial is clean with a very light even patina.
Inside the case back we can see some small scratches probably made during the opening and closing of the back.
The watch is in running condition and keeps good time for a watch of its age.
