WHY IS THIS WATCH IMPORTANT

Salmon dials have seen a skyrocket in interest increase in recent years by seasoned collectors and enthusiasts.

We are very excited to be able to offer this extremely beautiful & rare Copper-Salmon Dial Longines, in an almost new-old-stock condition, never polished and super sharp.

According to the Longines extract from the archives, the original serial number 6'428'xxx identifies a wristwatch in stainless steel bearing the reference 4982 and the order number 22199. It is fitted with a Longines manually wound mechanical movement, caliber 23M, and was invoiced on 14 January 1943 to the company Longines–Wittnauer Company, INC., which was at that time the Longines agent for the USA.

CONDITION

The case is unpolished, thick, and in great condition, The dial is also very well-preserved, with only the lightest of spottings in some places of the dial only visible at close inspection, visible only with a loupe.

The watch movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
