At The Time Curator, we specialize in collectible timepieces with a sharp eye for rarity and condition. This Uni-Compax in a jumbo 37.5mm rose gold is a perfect example of the latter, a remarkably preserved gem. Nearly mint and razor-sharp, it stands among the finest we've handled from the brand in years. Its clean state is all the more impressive considering it's pushing 75 years old.
The Hammer Head 128 hallmark inside the case-back signifies that the case was crafted by Jung & Fils, La Chaux-de-Fonds (1934-92), a premier case manufacturer for Universal Genève's luxury cases and certain Jaeger chronographs (featuring UG movements). Their expertise extends to both chronograph and sportier models.
Jung & Fils have primarily produced cases for Universal Genève, creating precious metal versions of various Compax and Compur chronographs, as well as some of the more unique Polerouter editions.
