1957 Universal Genève Polerouter | Microtor | Ref. 20357-2

WHY IS THIS WATCH IMPORTANT

Universal Genève had seen a rise in the last few years, especially the Polerouter line, designed by no other that the great Gerald Genta, yes, the same person who designed some of the most iconic timepieces in existence including the Patek Philippe Nautilus and the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak.
Inside you see an elegantly finished movement with an innovative micro-rotor that is a trademark for the brand and a breakthrough for the watch industry.

CONDITION

The twisted lug case retains all its shape and lines, with light and honest signs of use. The case retains its original signed crown. The case back factory engravings remain visible. The Plexi is the original one and super rare to find with its logo at the center.

The concentrically brushed silver dial is in great condition with some very light aging spots only visible at close inspection well. The radium lume plots have aged beautifully and are all present and complete. The dauphine hands have all their radium fill complete. The crown is the original signed.

The watch has been recently serviced and keeps good time for a watch of its age.
