1940s Movado Acvatic - Applied Breguet Numbers | Two-Tone Fab.Suisse Dial | François Borgel Case | Ref. 11729 | Cal.150

Here at TTC, our affection for Movado is no secret. It’s a brand we believe offers something compelling at nearly every level, and pieces like this early Acvatic are exactly why. Featuring elegant Breguet numerals, a striking two-tone dial that has aged to a warm, orangey patina, and housed in a François Borgel case, this watch is an especially noteworthy find.

This is Movado’s first truly waterproof wristwatch, the Acvatic, powered by the chronometer-rated caliber 150 and produced specifically for the French market, as denoted by the Fab. Suisse signature on the dial. At 28.5mm, it wears larger than the numbers suggest thanks to the extended lugs, which give the watch a broader, more substantial presence on the wrist.
