There’s something quietly intriguing and undeniably magnetic about anonymous chronographs. Maybe it’s the absence of a brand name on the dial, or the fact that they were built first and foremost as tools: simple, clean, and exactly right for the job. Pair that purpose-driven design with a Valjoux 22, arguably one of the three most respected chronograph movements ever made, known for its strength, robustness, and reliability, and you have something special.
Here, the dial steals the show. Near mint, with a bright two-tone base and three-color contrasting scales, it’s both visually striking and wonderfully balanced. Heated blued hands tie everything together, adding just the right touch of character.
