1970 Tudor Prince Oysterdate Ranger | Ref. 9050/0

WHY IS THIS WATCH IMPORTANT

The Tudor Ranger is the answer to the Rolex Explorer 1016.

Know as some of the most faked watches out there, catching an all-original one can be very difficult and is one of the more coveted Tudor watches amongst collectors.  With only a very small number ever actually being made, Rangers are rarely seen for sale. This particular one, the ref. 9050/0  features the quick set date, the characteristic Ranger hands, and a beautiful matte dial.

CONDITION

This watch is in overall very nice condition, the case appears to have been very lightly polished in the past but remains strong. The rear of the lugs shows some scratches from strap and bracelet changes over the years. The case-back engraving remained crisp. The case shows its original Rolex twin-lock crown.
The watch has been recently serviced and keeps good time for a watch of its age.
The hour hand had lost some of its tritium fill but is in all-original condition.
Hands and dial had aged to a beautiful warm dark yellow color.
The bracelet is the factory original matching the date of construction.
