WHY IS THIS WATCH IMPORTANT

The Cartier Tank Basculante 2390 mécanique was produced for a very short time and today, the mechanical versions are some of the most coveted watches.

Inspired by the Renault FT-17 Tank, the Cartier Tank model has been reborn into many variants, this particular one is as special as it gets.

Introduced in 1933, the Tank Basculante was inspired by the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso (1931), featuring a different swivel movement to protect the dial when doing sports.

Powered by the ultra-thin 2mm Piguet cal. 050 MC movement, the ref. 2390 is manually wound and super slim on the wrist without being small.

CONDITION
This watch is in overall very nice condition, the case seems unpolished and sharp on the edges. The dial and hands are in great condition and near flawless.
The watch has been recently serviced and keeps good time.
