WHY IS THIS WATCH IMPORTANT
Cartier has seen a rocket rise in popularity and interest in the last few years, especially on the vintage side.
This is perhaps one of the rarest and less documented designs because it was made in very short quantities, there were 3 sizes available, the example we have here is the largest with 26 x 33mm.
This Cartier Incurvée / Faberge was introduced in 1973 as part of the new Louis Cartier collection. Twelve gold models with leather straps simultaneously hit the Parisienne Maison and its retailers.
CONDITION
The watch is in great condition, showing light wear consistent with age and use. The non-luminous white Roman dial is in excellent condition with printed Roman indices and blued steel handset. The case back shows a few micro lines due to the normal use. The dial is nearly flawless, bright, and crisp with black Roman numbers and a race track. The crown has the distinguishable blue Sapphire cabochon.
The mineral crystal is Cartier´s original lightly domed one, it has a few small scratches and one very small nick near the center, these are hardly noticeable so we decided to keep the original one and not change it for an aftermarket glass.
This watch comes with the original 18K yellow gold deployant buckle on a new black Aligator strap of 18cm of full length with the watch. Also, we included a new light brown Calfskin two/piece strap with a gold-plated buckle.
The watch was just freshly serviced and keeps a good time.
