The Omega Constellation stands as a true icon, representing one of the longest-running watch lines in history. With the growing preference for smaller timepieces in recent years, these models have been gaining increasing attention among collectors.

Introduced to highlight Omega’s commitment to craftsmanship, the Constellation blends timeless design with high-grade movements. A signature star on the dial pays homage to its celestial namesake, while the case back features the Observatory Logo—a tribute to Omega’s award-winning chronometer movements, rigorously tested at the Kew Observatory in 1933 and 1936.

Launched in 1952, the Constellation remains a cornerstone of Omega’s legacy. This particular example, dating to 1962, showcases sought-after details admired by seasoned collectors: the distinctive Pie-Pan dial, first-generation Dog-Leg lugs, and the refined Cross-Hair dial. Produced only between 1961 and 1962, this reference stands as a testament to Omega’s enduring precision and design excellence.

This particular model was designed by Gérald Genta, the visionary behind the Patek Philippe Nautilus and the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak.

Inside the case back, the CB hallmark signifies its production by La Centrale Boîtes of Biel, regarded as one of the finest case manufacturers ever utilized by Omega.

CONDITION

This watch is in excellent overall condition. The dial remains in outstanding shape, featuring a light, even patina while maintaining a clean appearance. The markers and hands retain their original tritium fill, which is fully intact. The case is unpolished with sharp edges, and the Observatory emblem is crisp and well-defined. Minor marks on the back of the lugs suggest careful strap changes over time.

The watch keeps good time and is in good running condition.
