WHY IS THIS WATCH IMPORTANT
Omega is a synonym of quality and style. Back in the 40s and 50s, the norm of the watch sizes was around 32mm, this particular piece is just over 38mm which was huge for its time and therefore very rare.
Jumbo watches gained lots of attention over the last few years, especially on dress watches, this watch has a silver dial with a light vertical brushed pattern, a gold applied logo, and indexes that makes it even more special. The numbers 3, 9, and 12 are painted with gold color. The sub-seconds circle has a circular 3D pattern and is noticeable big.
the case has a slight curvature on the lugs to wrap very comfortably on the wist.
CONDITION
This watch is in overall great condition, the case is in honest and strong shape, the crown is signed and original, there is a small almost unperceivable aging spot on the dial at around 9:30, there are minor marks on the back probably made when changing straps and opening the case. The hands show some aging and patina.
The watch keeps good time and is in running condition.
