1930s Movado Chronomètre Novoplan | Curvex | Ref. 12206 | Cal. 440

This piece is a textbook example of 1930s freedom of design, from a time when Movado was quietly producing some of the finest watches of the era. The Novoplan line came in several shapes, but this pronounced ‘curvex’ case, sometimes nicknamed banana, has long been the standout. Powered by Movado’s in-house Cal. 440 and wrapped in that dramatically curved profile, it’s no wonder this design has become one of the most sought-after by collectors in recent years.
